SCHOOL DISTRICT CONTRACTS
The CSTC has provided contract services in Southern Alberta since 1996. Our services have focused on supporting students who access educational funding for special-needs (Mild-Moderate and Program Unit Funds). Play schools, private kindergarten associations, and daycare programs that support special needs students can access our services.
Services
- Assessment to support qualification for funding
- Family Oriented Programming (FOPs)
- Individual program plans (IPP’s) for communication goals
- Consultation and collaboration with teachers
- Provide strategy packages for classrooms
- Training for Educational Assistants and classroom aides
- Specialized consultation for augmentative communication assessment and devices
- We link with Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and other specialists
WORKSHOPS
We are able to offer a variety of workshops tailored to specific needs.
Parent Sessions: Functional applications for intervention within daily activities
Hanen based training to support language and communication for:
- Late talkers
- Children with delayed communication skills
- Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Professional Sessions: Skill based, informative and applicable to classroom needs
- Teacher Talk – Three part series
- Articulation and phonological intervention
- Inclusive practice supporting targeted and universal strategies
- AAC (Alternate and Augmentative Communication) – Training on low tech equipment and iPad applications
- Social thinking and support for social language skills in autism
- Visual support strategies for the classroom and students
